2019 ANNUAL MEETING

ENFSI DRUG WORKING GROUP

7 – 9 May 2019, Larnaca - Cyprus

Dear Colleagues,

It is with great pleasure and pride that the Forensic Science and Toxicology Lab of the State General Laboratory (SGL) is co-organizing this meeting with ENFSI. We are greatly honored to host this important meeting from 7th to 9th of May, 2019 in Larnaca, Cyprus.

As an organizing committee, our goals are information dissemination, professional networking, exchange of knowledge and experience and of course enjoyment of the well-known Cyprus hospitality. The main activities of the meeting include, but not limited to, drug analysis, quality assurance and accreditation, information exchange, research and development.

We are eager to further enhance our knowledge on the subject, and expand the networking of ENFSI DWG thus making stronger ties with scientists in this area of expertise. Cyprus, due to its geographical position, can and must play an important role in the traceability of drug dealing.

Finally, I heartedly wish to all participants, a fruitful meeting with productive debates and an enjoyable stay in Cyprus, an island that acts as a bridge between Eastern and Western civilization.

We look forward to welcome you to Larnaca for the 2019 ENFSI DWG ANNUAL MEETING.

INVITATION

The meeting will take place at the Golden Bay Beach Hotel in Larnaca, Cyprus and is open for delegates from ENFSI-laboratories (members), non-ENFSI-laboratories (associated and guests) and companies trading in forensic equipment (guest).

We would like to encourage attendants to hold presentations or to provide poster presentations:

Registration: 4 March (extended deadline)

Abstract submission: 29 March (extended deadline)

For presentation of all papers and to attend the meeting, you need to register to the meeting.

Registration Fees include: meeting attendance, conference material, coffee breaks, welcome cocktail, conference dinner and lunches as per meeting programme.

Rooms have to be booked through the registration form of the meeting. ‘First Come, First Served’ basis will apply. These special rates apply only for the participants of the meeting and are valid until the 8th of March 2019.

ABSTRACT SUBMISSION

Please forward your abstracts via email to [email protected]. Make sure to indicate in the subject box your preference:

• Case Work Presentation (5-10 minutes)
• Scientific Presentation (15 minutes)
• Poster Presentation (max. 2 minutes)
Poster size: 120cm (height) x 90cm (width)
• Bring your own case - max 5 minutes (no abstract needed)

Your abstract should not exceed 300 words. The name, abstract title, name and affiliation of the author (authors) must be mentioned at the top of the abstract page.

OPTIONAL WINE TASTING TOUR

The winery welcomes all the wine lovers or even those who just want to familiarize themselves with the world of vine and wine.

You will have the opportunity to taste the wines in the reception area accompanied by the beautiful view of the vineyard.

The tour finishes with a buffet dinner, which will include traditional Cypriot dishes and sweets and of course wine!
